LEPTON G+

Is Food Safety & Human Health Important to You?

Then… discover a next-gen preservation approach designed to reduce Gram-positive risk with Lepton G+.

Our mission: Protect what matters

LEPTON’s food safety and preservation solutions sit at the center of everything we do: our mission is to protect what matters.

Conscious consumers look for natural preservatives that help ensure both food safety and an acceptable shelf life.

Lepton G+ is developed against Gram-positive bacteria that may be present in food or can contaminate it later. Produced via fermentation technology, it acts by creating disruptions in the cell wall of Gram-positive bacteria, helping inhibit their growth.

Our R&D team is dedicated to exploring innovative preservation solutions that help you meet consumer demand without compromising product quality.

Gram-Positive Bacteria: Why it matters

In bacteriology, Gram-positive bacteria test positive in the Gram stain and have a thick peptidoglycan layer in their cell wall. Some genera can be pathogenic to humans (e.g., Streptococcus, Staphylococcus). Spore-forming groups (e.g., Bacillus, Clostridium) can be especially critical for food safety. When Gram-positives enter food sources, they may cause infections; inadequate heat treatment and poor hygiene are major contamination routes. They can appear across many foods, and freezing alone is not sufficient to eliminate them.

How does LEPTON G+ support food safety?

Make decisions faster with a targeted validation flow.

1
Bacteria type targeting
Save time and resources by targeting efficacy against specific strains. A dose-response approach can reduce validation time.
2
Minimum inhibitory capacity
Our team designs applications that simulate your recipe requirements and facility/storage conditions to confirm performance in real use.
3
Validation & sensory balance
Our experts help optimize preservative performance that may otherwise create sensory challenges (taste, texture, pH) at higher doses.

LEPTON G+

Lepton G+ is a bio-inorganic based range of preservative solutions with proven food-safety efficacy at low dosages, supporting cost savings. Fermentation-derived antimicrobial components can include organic acids and peptide fractions rich in antimicrobial activity. Thanks to LEPTON’s purity, filtration, and specialized processing, organoleptic properties such as taste and odor are minimally affected.

Benefits
  • Helps reduce Gram-positive pathogen risk as part of a multi-factor preservation system.
  • Supports extending/maintaining shelf life in heat-treated and acidic foods.
  • Helps replace chemical preservatives with a more natural and safe solution.
  • May reduce processing time/heat requirement, improving consistency and productivity.
  • Can enable new formulations (lower salt/fat, higher moisture, higher pH).
  • Helps meet consumer demand for natural products.

Applications & Usage Guidance (Summary)

Lepton G+ is effective across a wide range—dairy, meat, juices, plant-protein foods, egg products, sauces, canned foods, etc.—and across a broad pH window (approx. 3.5–8.0). It can typically be added directly as a powder. If a solution is required, dissolve in high-purity water at room temperature. For heat-treated products, ensure thorough dispersion before thermal processing.
